This Week’s Update

Jaycee & Will Steal the Show on Short-Handed Night

This week’s league night looked a little different, with several teams missing one or both regular partners. Thanks to everyone who stepped in as substitutes and helped keep the evening running smoothly. Even with a lighter turnout, there was no shortage of excitement, and the leaderboard saw some major changes.

While Chad Hartrich and David Robinson continue to hold down first place with 62 points, their lead isn’t quite as comfortable as it once seemed. Scott Connour and Darrel Schultz remain in second with 56 points after another solid 12-point week, while Darcy Boyles and Lucas Cycotte continue their impressive climb into third place with 52 points following a 17-point performance.

The story of the night, however, belonged to Jaycee Starbody and Will Horve.

After entering the week tied for 15th place, Jaycee and Will exploded for the highest score of the week with 20 points, the biggest round posted by any team this season since Steve Fisher and Justin Williams’ 22-point week. Their outstanding performance vaulted them 11 spots up the leaderboard into a tie for 10th place, marking the largest jump of the week.

John and Terry Starbody also continued their recent surge. Their 18-point round moved them into fourth place overall with 45 points, completing an impressive climb from the bottom half of the standings just a few weeks ago.

With several teams posting double-digit rounds, the middle of the standings continues to tighten. Just a few strong weeks can completely change a team’s season, and this week proved exactly that.

Championship Race

Hartrich and Robinson remain the team everyone is chasing, but several contenders continue to gain ground. Connour and Schultz have quietly worked their way into second place, while Darcy Boyles and Lucas Cycotte have become one of the hottest teams in the league.

With plenty of golf still to be played, the championship is far from settled.
